Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is a Cave to Castle Tub Liner?
A Cave to Castle Tub Liner is a custom tub liner that is designed to fit perfectly over your existing tub. All of our materials are thermoformed with revolutionary co-extruded DR/ABS acrylic that will not chip, dent, peel, stain or fade.
  2. Why install a tub liner instead of removing my old tub?
Removing a bathtub is an expensive, disruptive and messy job. The process can damage the walls, flooring, and plumbing and can put your bathroom out of use for up to one week. A thermo-formed acrylic Cave to Castle tub liner is installed right over an old tub in a matter of hours and can be used the same day.
  3. Can you change my tub into a shower?
Yes! We do this all the time. And we have showers to fit any space.
  4. How long will a Cave to Castle tub liner last?
Acrylic has a life expectancy of 25-30 years. With proper care it will keep its high gloss luster indefinitely and it will not chip, crack, peel or fade.
  5. Why not just repair or refinish my bathtub?
This may look fine for a while but repeat applications are needed every one to three years due to cracking, peeling or discoloration. You also will not receive the superior qualities of an acrylic tub liner, ease of maintenance, warranty, warmth to the touch and beautiful luster.
  6. How are you able to match my old bathtub?
We use a patented measuring system and then put it into our TUB ID computer that will match it with one of our over 500 molds. We then thermoform a liner for an exact fit.
  7. Do you install the wall systems right over my tiles?
Yes, we go right over your existing walls after cleaning them and repairing any weak areas. No demolition required!
  8. I like the look of tile but do not like dirty grout. Can you help?
Cave to Castle offers simulated tiles in many sizes. These offer the look of tile without the need to clean grout.
  9. Will a liner make my tub smaller?
Putting a tub liner into place is like fitting one cup into another.
  10. Is your acrylic easy to clean?
Acrylic is non-porous and doesn't attract or hold dirt, mildew, germs or mold. In fact there is nothing easier to clean—just wipe clean with approved cleaners. There's never any scrubbing or harsh cleaner needed.
